<p>You live by the sword, you die by the sword. Last I heard Irwin’s wife was hiking in the wilds of Tasmania and had not yet been informed of his death.</p>

Irwin’s death, while a tragic loss to his family and friends, is not entirely unexpected. When you spend your life ignoring the importance of keeping a safe distance between yourself and wild animals, the probability is that something like this will happen.
